As a congregation, Immanuel is striving to live out the mission statement, "Being the Church." To be the Church means that we follow the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions to live and worship as Christ has commanded us. The centerpiece of "Being the Church" is the divine service in which we hear the Word preached and receive the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Â
The life of the Chuch flows out of the divine service. It is here that we are renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit and encouraged to live as disciples among ourselves and in the world. Â We are constantly working toward being better disciples utilitizing our spiritual gifts for the glory of God and the benefit of our neighbor.
